NORTH CONWAY, NH - Tony R. Greene, 60, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 26th, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born in Winfield, Kansas on January 1, 1961. He was proud to share that he was the first baby born in the state of Kansas in that year, and he made sure everyone knew. He is the son of the late Rosie (Bangs) Putnam and stepfather John Putnam. Tony attended Sanborn High School. He was a roofer for many years of his life before retiring and moving to North Conway, NH.
Tony’s family was most important to him. He enjoyed the outdoors, specifically camping with his family, adventuring into the woods, being by the river, and taking nature walks with his wife. He was happiest when spending time with his family and friends. Tony was always the first to offer a smile or helping hand. He will also be remembered by many for his infamous oatmeal raisin cookies.
Loving husband to Susan (Gould) Greene, whom he shared 31 happy years of marriage with. In addition to his wife, Susan; he is survived by his daughters Jessica Greene of Burlington, MA, Amanda Greene of Lewiston, ME, Lonnie Day, Stormy Ireland, and Faith Allen of Oklahoma; siblings Richard Greene, Fred Greene, Trixie (Greene) Mears, John Putnam, and Guy Putnam; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
