Todd Stocks Obituary

HAVERHILL - It is with both deep sadness and a profound sense of peace that we announce the passing of Todd Stocks, after a sudden illness. Todd transitioned from this world to the next to be with the Lord, on Sunday, May 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He lived an amazing life full of happiness and joy, creating a legacy that will be cherished forever by all who knew him.

Born on August 2, 1970, in Park Ridge, Illinois, Todd was known for his honesty, a love of people, loyalty, and a remarkable sense of humor that brightened everyone’s day. His bright blue eyes, smile, and infectious laugh were quite contagious and could light up any room. A graduate of the University of Iowa, and Theta Chi fraternity president (1991-1992), Todd built a successful career as a Sales Executive for Restaurant Technologies, Inc. He was a respected salesman and admired by his colleagues, not only for his work ethic but also for his ability to bring joy and humor into every situation. His achievements included several trips to the prestigious President’s Club, as well as being named Account Manager of the Year and Account Manager of the Quarter; a testament to his dedication, skill, and loyalty to his job which he loved doing.

Todd married the love of his life, his sweetie, Kari (Maresca), on July 17 and was looking forward to celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary this coming summer. Together, they lived in Bradford, MA where they raised a beautiful family with their daughter Sydney, now 17, their son Luke, now 11, and dogs. As a loving husband, best friend, and father, Todd was a wonderful role model, instilling in Sydney and Luke the qualities of love, kindness, and a zest for life that he practiced every day.

Todd shared his love of amusement parks, music, movies, comedy, sports, games, and adventure with Sydney and Luke, fostering in them the same curiosity and joy for life that he carried in his own spirit. Whether coaching their soccer teams or helping them with math, he was ever present, always supportive, and full of pride. His faith, guidance, and love leave a mark on their hearts, shaping them into young individuals who reflect his integrity and enthusiasm.

An avid sports fan, Todd cherished the playful rivalry with Kari over the Red Sox and Yankees, enjoyed various types of music, and loved attending concerts. His first battle with cancer at 27 profoundly shaped him, inspiring others with his resilience and gratitude, often paying it forward in meaningful ways. His story was one of overcoming and giving, marked by a faith that guided him through life's toughest challenges.

In his leisure, Todd embraced life with a child-like exuberance—whether piloting the Millennium Falcon on a family vacation, savoring a Bill's double decker pizza from his hometown, or indulging in his love for 80’s movies and music. His humor often included a playful, naughty gesture for his wife, always bringing her laughter when she needed it the most. Todd enjoyed spending time with his family, whether at the beach, accompanying Kari on shopping trips, traveling, playing with the dogs, playing board games, or enjoying family movie nights. Todd had a passion for craft beer and enjoyed being a bartender when friends and family visited. Some of his favorite things were dressing-up and handing out beer to the neighborhood at Halloween and for dozens of years, he hosted Super Bowl parties that brought many friends together, especially rooting his favorite football team, the New England Patriots. His faith was a beacon that guided him, and he loved, honored, and expressed gratitude to God daily with all his heart. He’d often say, “I’m not lucky, I’m blessed.”

Todd is survived by his beloved wife Kari, their children Sydney and Luke, his parents Ron and Dorothy Stocks, and sister Terri Halverson and her husband Jim, all from Illinois. He also leaves behind his caring in-laws, Pat and Jack Maresca from Connecticut, dear family friends, Pat and Lloyd Everhart from Wisconsin, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with countless friends and colleagues.

Todd’s spirit, forever adventurous and joyful, will continue to inspire all of us. Todd may have left this earth, but he will never leave the hearts of those who loved him.

*The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated nurses and doctors at Boston Medical Center and the compassionate care team at High Pointe Hospice in Haverhill.
