Seindia (Shah) Pattni

NASHUA, NH - Seindia (Sandhya) was born in the beautiful island port city of Mombasa in Kenya.  After finishing her high school education, she went to India to pursue her dreams of becoming a pharmacist. 

After graduation, Seindia returned to Mombasa and began her career, whilst living with her loving mom.  She married Magid Rathod and the couple emigrated to Berkeley, CA where she started working in a large Berkeley pharmacy.  Aatif was born to the couple, however, Magid unfortunately passed away shortly after.

Seindia lived in CA with her mom and Aatif until she was introduced by a mutual friend to Ramesh, a widower with two boys, Amrish and Rajeev.  Seindia and Ramesh got married and built their home in Windham NH. Seindia was the loving force, the fun-filled and bubbly optimistic person who created our blended Pattni family and the two have been married almost 30 years now.

She transitioned professionally to a Pharmaceutical Rep in the greater Boston area working for various large biotech companies and established a formidable reputation for herself across the entire district.  She won countless awards and recognition during her professional career and was widely known and respected among the doctors she served and her colleagues alike. 

Seindia was incredibly gregarious, full of life, making new friends in the Boston area within a short time.  She always pushed everyone in the family to do their best, to enjoy and have a ZEST for life.  Aatif has adopted a similar zest in pursuit of many life passions, including music and sky diving and it is clear his compassion and caring nature is a direct reflection of his Mom.   We have expanded the family with Erica and Talia, as Amrish and Rajeev got married.  Amrish and Erica have given us two wonderful granddaughters, Isla (9) and Neve (7).  Her “munchkins” as she affectionately called them.  Whenever they’d visit they were inseparable from their Amma, snuggling with their beloved Amma to hear her endless stories. 

Seindia was diagnosed with breast cancer 10 years ago and has fought courageously against this debilitating disease, while still excelling in her profession, truly a labor of love for her.   

Seindia entered into rest on September 18, 2020 at 65 years of age.  She is survived by her husband, Ramesh Pattni and sons Aatif Rathod, Rajeev Pattni and Amrish Pattni, her sister Malti Chotai and brother Ashwin Shah, along with her daughters-in-law Talia Pattni and Erica Pattni, in addition to her beloved granddaughters, Isla and Neve Pattni (daughters of Amrish & Erica).  

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
