HAVERHILL - Our hearts are deeply saddened to announce the loss of Sara Souza, who passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, after a series of unexplained strokes. She was a young 36 years old, and the reverberations of her departure will be experienced for decades to come.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on January 15, 1987 to her parents Cheri (Frye) Wright and Armando Abreu, Sara was a unique light who spent her entire life sharing her love, humor, and spark with the world.
Sara established roots in Somerville, Lowell, and Malden, and most recently lived with her family in her forever home in Methuen, Massachusetts. She was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Creative, spunky, sassy, and determined, Sara was the friendliest person you’d meet, with a distinctive ability to make others feel cared for and special. If you were in her circle, you were family, and family was always her primary focus. Sara was the glue that held everyone around her together.
Sara’s memory will live on through her loving husband, Brian Souza, and their amazing children, Isaac Reppucci and Lucia Souza. In addition to being eternally adored by her mother and father, Sara’s step-parents, Warren Wright and Nerly Garin, also mourn her loss.
Sara was an incredible sister to Amanda Abreu, and her husband John Younker, as well as an enthusiastic “Titi” to Jaxon, June, and Julien. She will be deeply missed by her brother, Marco Abreu, sister-in-law Lauren Abreu, and her nephews Neondre, Lennon, Chris, Sean, and Xavier.
Sara held a special place in her heart for her two sisters-in-law Kimberly Nall and Carol Souza, as well as her many other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She will be remembered by her staff and co-workers at Cambridge Health Alliance, where she was the Manager of the Patient Access Referral Call Center – a job that she loved as much as the people she worked with.
A Celebration of Life will take place in December, at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem, NH, to honor Sara’s passion of bringing her loved ones together.
