Sandra ‘Sandi’ (Pienta) Bentham

METHUEN - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra 'Sandi' Bentham after a long courageous battle with breast cancer.

She was born in Methuen, MA on December 11, 1948 to loving parents Edward and Georgianna Pienta.

Sandi was a force of nature with a love of excitement. She lived life her way right up until the very end. All that knew her knew that she was a vibrant soul filled with a cutting wit and a great sense of humor about herself and the world around her. Laughing uncontrollably with her family were her favorite moments in life.

Sandi is survived by her three children Frank Balliro of Nashua, Phillip Bentham of Plaistow, NH and his wife Ashley and Gina Newby of Salem, NH and her husband Joel. She was also a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren,who brought immense joy to her life. Sandi’s family was her pride and joy, and she found great happiness in their accomplishments and presence. She is also survived by her dear sister Doris Skeirik and brother Edward Pienta. She is preceded in death by her son, Derek, whose memory she carried with her always.

Sandi’s warmth, kindness and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her family, who will continue to honor her memory and keep her spirit alive in their hearts.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Words of Remembrance will begin at 6:30 PM. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
