Sally Jeanne (Atwood) Quinn, age 73, of Haverhill, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, Maine. Sally was born on September 10, 1951 to Ruth Eleanor (Joe) Atwood and Charles Robert Atwood. Sally was born and raised in the Riverside section of Haverhill. She attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a proud member of the Haverhill High School Marching Band. Following high school, Sally earned an Associate’s Degree from Northern Essex Community College.
Sally enjoyed a long career as an administrative assistant in the Haverhill Public School System retiring in 2014. Upon retirement, Sally remained active with many activities including golf, mahjong, and traveling with her husband. She also cherished periodic lunch dates with her many friends. Sally’s happy place was Wells, Maine. She was at peace the moment she crossed the Portsmouth Bridge into Maine. Sally spent many weeks of the past forty-two summers there with her family, including a final three weeks this summer. She was always the life of the party and heaven just got a little more lively with her arrival.
Sally is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Joseph; cherished daughters Jennifer (Quinn) Marasco and her husband John, of Hooksett, NH, and Jessica Quinn of Roslindale; beloved grandchildren Abigail and Camden Marasco; sister Linda (Atwood) Kiefer and her husband Karl; nephew Jeffrey Kiefer and his girlfriend Ella Poisson; great-nephew Kyle Kiefer; brother in-law Bernard Quinn and his wife Barbara; brother in-law John Quinn and his wife Susan; two nephews, a niece, and several cousins. She is predeceased by her mother Eleanor and her father Bob.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 8, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Service will be Saturday, August 9 in the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Walnut Cemetery, Haverhill. For guestbook visit www.driscollcares.com
