Ruth Anne (Berrett) Carroll

GROVELAND – Ruth (Berrett) Carroll, 73, passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Ruth was born on July 7, 1951, in Boston, MA to her parents, the late Franklin and Bertha (Bernard) Berrett.  Ruth graduated from Saugus High School in 1969.  She held various positions with the U.S. Navy, as a civilian employee.  She retired from the Whittier Vocational and Technical High School in 2015.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Daniel Carroll; her daughters; Lisa Ryan and husband Conal of Merrimac, MA; Suzanne Cafeteiro and husband Michael of Dracut, MA; Katelyn Carroll of Stoneham, MA; and Meaghan Carroll of Reading, MA.  She is also survived by her loved and cherished grandchildren; Halle Ryan, Emerson Ryan, Carter Ryan, Maya Cafeteiro and Riley Cafeteiro.

In addition to her family, she is survived by her brother Paul and wife Phyllis of Saugus, MA; her sisters; Doreen Ellis and husband James of Moultonborough, NH and Janice Harper and husband Wesley of Renton, WA.  Ruth is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
