Robert ‘Bob’ W. Barton

HAVERHILL - Robert ‘Bob’ W. Barton, 89, passed away May 24 at High Pointe House with his family by his side. He was born on November 30, 1934, to the late Arnold and Carol Barton.

Bob, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, graduated from Haverhill Trade School and retired from Lucent Technologies after 40 years of service.  He was a devoted husband and father who loved playing with his grandchildren and spending time with his family.  He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by the lucky people whose lives he touched.

Bob is survived by his wife of 67 years, Antoinette (Toni) Barton; sons Ronald Barton and wife Marie, Scott Barton and wife Julie, and Kevin Barton and wife Kristie. He was predeceased by his son Robert W. Barton Jr. and his wife Nancy.  He also leaves 9 grandchildren, Gina (Barton) McAndrew and her husband Jeff, Robert (RJ) Barton, Lisa Barton and her husband Rohan Merchant, Christine Barton and her fiancé Cody Conroy, Joshua Barton and his fiancé Brooke Daniels, Danielle, Eve, Jason Barton and Grace Murphy. Great grandchildren Natalie, Aria and Asher; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob is also survived by brothers Forrest Barton and his wife Ellen, Larry Barton, Richard Barton and sister Carole (Barton) Glidden and husband George.
