HAVERHILL - Robert W. Baumann, 73, lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Bob was the son of the late Harold and Theresa (Michitson) Baumann of Haverhill.
After graduation from Northern Essex Community College, he worked for Gould/Modicon before owning and operating the successful Quality Fire Protection in Haverhill for decades.
Known for his warm and welcoming smile and sense of humor, family was his first priority. Whether it was his wife, sons, grandchildren, siblings, or nieces and nephews, he loved being with his family, especially around holidays. He was truly a person that would do anything for anybody.
If not with his family, you could find him enjoying reruns of Leave it to Beaver or Mash, but more likely spending time with his friends at The Ridge Runners Fish & Game Club. Whether it was playing cards, duck hunting, rooting for Boston sports teams, the Ridge was his favorite place outside of his home.
Bob leaves behind his wife Susan of Haverhill, MA, son Robert (and Donna) Baumann of Saugus, MA, son Kevin (and Sharon) Baumann of Saugus, MA, son Michael (and Crosby Elliott) of Boston, MA, sister-in-law Anne Baumann of Haverhill, MA, sister Joyce (and Doug) Bergeron of Haverhill, MA, sister Sandra (and John) O’Dea of Haverhill, MA, and grandchildren David Baumann of Lynn, MA, and Rachel Baumann and Cristina Mullen of Saugus, MA, sister-in law Margery (and Michael) Driscoll of Haverhill, MA, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his brother Harold.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Words of Remembrance will be shared beginning at 4:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Theresa, Harold, and Robert Baumann Family Scholarship at Haverhill High School | c/o Haverhill High School, 137 Monument Street, Haverhill, MA 01832.
