Raymond Glenn Sansouci

March 20, 1951 ~ February 4, 2022 (age 70)


WEST NEWBURY - Raymond Glenn Sansouci, age 70, of West Newbury, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 4, 2022 after a courageous 4½ year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Ray was born on March 20, 1951 in St. Louis, MO to Helen Schubert Sansouci and Raymond Calvert Sansouci.

He graduated from Pattonville High School as a scholar athlete in 1969 and went on to Dartmouth College, where he played basketball and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He continued his education at Thayer School of Engineering and Harvard Business School.

Ray enjoyed a long career in high tech factory automation, bringing his skills and leadership to several technology companies including Westinghouse, Siemens, Schneider Automation, Texas Instruments, Micro E, and GSI.  

A lifelong basketball player turned avid cornhole player, Ray was a passionate sports fan and a lover of music. He was warm and optimistic, filled with joy for life, and always had a big smile on his face. He was a devoted husband and father, and a friend to everyone he met.

Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Nancy Mallory Sansouci, and his daughters Jenny and Lisa. Ray was predeceased by his mother Helen, his father Raymond, and his brother Russell.  

Family and friends are kindly invited to an outdoor Celebration of Life for Ray on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at 450 Ipswich Road, Boxford, MA 01921. Casual attire. Readings/sharing of memories around 2:30pm.

As Ray has so many lifelong friends and family in St. Louis, MO, we will be having a second celebration there. Details to come. Date and location will be shared on this page.
