Radys Rodriguez, Sr. Obituary

Radys Guillermo Rodriguez, Sr., a devoted husband and loving father, a cherished son and brother, a faithful servant of God, and a dear friend to many, passed away on January 22, 2026, in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to Federico Antonio Rodriguez of Santiago, Dominican Republic, and Maria Marta Vasquez of Jimaní, Dominican Republic.

Radys lived a life rich in love, purpose, and connection. A man of deep and unwavering faith, his belief in God guided every aspect of his life. His faith was not merely spoken, but lived—through compassion, generosity, and the way he uplifted those around him.

He was the beloved husband of Sambath Rodriguez, whom he adored with his whole heart. Their love story spanned continents, cultures, and unwavering commitment. Determined to build a life rooted in love and unity, Radys traveled to Cambodia—first for their engagement, and then again to bring his bride home to the United States. He embraced her culture, music, and cuisine, but equally cherished and loved her family as his own. Just three months ago, he fulfilled one of his most heartfelt promises by bringing her mother to the United States—an act that reflected the depth of his devotion and the way he led with his heart through action. Radys was a man who kept his promises and loved fully, selflessly, and without hesitation.

Radys was a proud and devoted father to his four children, listed in order by age: Roxanne Rodriguez, Radys G. Rodriguez, Jr., Jonathan S. Rodriguez, and Cristian X. Rodriguez. His children were his greatest joy. He was affectionate, present, and endlessly encouraging, expressing his love through both words and action. Equally cherished were his nieces and nephews, who adored him and whose lives he touched deeply with his warmth, guidance, and playful spirit. He celebrated their milestones, encouraged their dreams, and reveled in the bond they shared, leaving an enduring mark on their hearts.

Professionally, Radys served as a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Officer, a role he carried with pride and purpose. He was deeply passionate about his work and understood the importance of service, safety, and integrity. Through his career, he impacted countless lives and earned the respect of colleagues and the public alike.

Radys was a man of many passions. He loved music and producing, design, culture and travel, and meaningful conversation. He possessed a remarkable worldview and could engage in thoughtful debate on nearly any topic, offering perspectives that challenged, inspired, and expanded the thinking of others. Known for his joyful spirit and intellectual curiosity, he brought warmth and light wherever he went.

Sweet, loving, and tender by nature, Radys expressed love freely—through affection, loyalty, and unwavering presence. He touched countless lives and leaves behind a legacy defined by kindness, wisdom, and genuine human connection.

Radys is survived by his beloved wife, Sambath Rodriguez; his devoted mother, Maria Marta Vasquez; and his cherished children, Roxanne Rodriguez, Radys G. Rodriguez Jr., Jonathan S. Rodriguez, and Cristian X. Rodriguez. He is also lovingly survived by his siblings: Isabel E. Rodriguez (Miguel Rodriguez), Alexis A. Alvarado (Yomaira Alvarado), Denise N. Alvarado Ortega (Herard Ortega), and Lorenzo A. Alvarado (Yolie Alvarado) Venessa L. Alvarado, Federico I. Rodriguez (Amarilys Cora), Federico S. Rodriguez, Federico DeJesus Rodriguez, along with extended family members, dear friends, and all those whose lives were forever touched by his generosity and love. He was predeceased by his father, Federico Antonio Rodriguez and his adoptive father Alejandro Mateo.

Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, Radys departed this world surrounded by love, faith, and purpose. His spirit lives on in the hearts he uplifted, the wisdom he shared, and the unconditional love he gave. Now resting in the eternal peace of God’s glory, his legacy remains—timeless, unbroken, and forever cherished.
