Obituary

SALISBURY - Niels Knudsen, Jr., passed away peacefully at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center on Saturday, August 21, 2021.

He was born in Melrose, MA and was the son of the late Niels Knudsen, Sr. and Louise Knudsen. Niels moved to Danvers during middle school and graduated from Danvers High School in 1971. He joined the Navy and was fortunate to be stationed in Iceland, Puerto Rico and Florida. After the Navy he settle back in Danvers. He was an IT Tech and worked at Honeywell for many years. In 2014 he moved to Salisbury with his wife, daughter and her family.

Some of Niels favorite pleasure where sitting at his computer, napping, listening to his favorite music, being part of the Northshore Brewers, camping in Maine, walks in the woods, date night with his wife, playing with grandkids, movies, and posting inappropriate Facebook memes and dissing on Trump and his supporters. But his favorite thing was doing nothing at all, and no one was better at it than he was.

He is survived by his wife the "Lovely" Janis, his daughter Kerri Pereira, her husband Jesus Pereira and his three grandchildren, Kaio, Kristiano and Kamilla. Niels was the life of the party, always quick witted and a great sense of humor. He will be missed by many but no more than his wife of forty years, who not only lost her husband but her best friend.
