HAVERHILL - Nancy Joan (Bernhard) Wrenn, beloved wife of the late Michael J. Wrenn, passed away peacefully after a brief illness. She was 84.
Nancy was born in Lawrence on July 20, 1939, the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Breen) Bernhard. She spent her younger years as a resident of Lawrence, graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1957. In 1963, Nancy moved to Haverhill with her husband, Mike, where they raised their five children.
Nancy was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and attended daily Mass. She spent years as a eucharistic minister visiting hospitals and nursing homes in the local community.
Nancy and Mike took many trips to Ireland, enjoying adventures up and down the Irish countryside while visiting with relatives. She brought her love for Ireland back home, where she shared her treasured stories and photos with family and friends.
Most of all, Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family. She cherished family gatherings, especially Sunday barbecues at the family beach house. Nancy spent her holidays surrounded by love and laughter, enjoying traditions with her children and grandchildren.
Nancy will be sadly missed by her five children, Daniel Wrenn and his wife Susan, Susan Lahiff and her husband Daniel, Paula Brackett and her husband Mark, Michael Wrenn, and Mary Lasonde and her husband Andrew; ten grandchildren, Shawna (Brackett) Gearheart, Krista (Brackett) Streeter, Daniel Lahiff, Jr., Kendra (Brackett) Phillips, Colin Lahiff, Meghan Wrenn, Sean Wrenn, Allison Lahiff, Ellayna Lasonde, and Adele Lasonde; five great-grandchildren, Liam Streeter, Cora Streeter, Robert Gearheart, III, Conor Gearheart, and Brooks Phillips. She will also be greatly missed by her beloved sister Rosemary Scully, several nieces and nephews, and countless family and friends. Nancy was predeceased by her sister, Kathleen Bachand.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday in St. John the Baptist Church, 114 Lincoln Avenue, Haverhill at 10:00 AM. Please meet directly at church.
