HAVERHILL - Nancy Dianne Milnes, 63, of Bradford, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2022 in Boston, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living life to the fullest.
Nancy was born to the late Ralph and Isabelle (Cunningham) Milnes in Haverhill, MA on January 30, 1959. After graduating from Haverhill High School in 1977, she moved with her parents and younger sister to Orlando, FL where she met her future husband, Robert Gutierrez. After marriage she relocated to Gainesville, FL and had a son before moving to Melbourne, FL and then to Suwanee, GA, which she would call home for the next 23 years.
During her time in Georgia, Nancy began a career as a preschool teacher and elementary paraprofessional. She loved teaching and was admired and loved by her students and fellow teachers alike.
To everyone Nancy came in contact with, she was the life of the party, a source of constant jokes and laughter, and a smiling face who lit up a room. She enjoyed hosting parties and gatherings, listening to live music, going to the movies with friends, visiting new breweries with her son, playing games (and most often winning), traveling (more often than not, back to New England during her years away), staying at the Milnes family lake house in New Hampshire, and more importantly than all, spending quality time with her friends and family.
Nancy is survived by her son Garreth Gutierrez of Jacksonville, FL; brother Christopher Milnes (Christine) of Palm Coast, FL; sister Cheryl Ferris (Bob) of Ipswich, MA; sister in-law Kathryn Milnes of Palm Coast, FL; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her parents; brother Russell Milnes; and sister Paula Milnes.
Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, July 10 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Black Swan Country Club in Georgetown, MA (258 Andover Street). All are welcome but an RSVP for headcount is greatly appreciated at http://evite.me/hpCjSpU912. Arrangements by Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill.
