Michael Piscatelli Obituary

HAVERHILL – Michael D. Piscatelli, 85, longtime resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 13, 2021.

Michael was born in Boston on July 25, 1936, son of Joseph and Angelina (Liantonio) Piscatelli. He graduated from Hyde Park High School in 1954 and continued on for years taking various college level courses always furthering his education. During his younger years he played the bugle which he was so proud of with the Most Precious Blood Marching Band and the Boston Crusaders. He joined the Naval Air Force out of Weymouth, MA with a group that was called “Submarine Chasers” who flew over the ocean on watch for enemy submarines.

His working career included owning an oil company for many years; also he was in real estate as a broker and joined the company Foster and Foster; also worked with Caldwell Banker, Remax, Colonial Manor and several others. Also worked as a broker for new construction and development projects after he retired from real estate. To stay active, he worked for a pharmacy as a medical delivery driver to private homes and facilities.

Michael’s interests included listening to his favorite Italian opera singer, Luciano Pavarotti, who he who enjoy listening. Also, he also loved to dance. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with has family and friends, especially his cherished grandchildren. Michael loved nothing more than to be with his loved ones, sitting around a table and chatting away and of course eating all of his favorite Italian foods!

He is survived by his cherished wife Linda (Bossio) Piscatelli of Haverhill; children Maureen of Lowell, Michael of Boston, Tracy of Haverhill and Michelle of Haverhill; devoted grandchildren Stephen, Matthew and Kayley all of Haverhill; brother Joseph Piscatelli and wife Katy of RI; sisters in-law Dorothy Piscatelli of Medford and Marie Halstead and husband Manton of FL; beloved friends Mary McGilvery of Peabody and Jody and Swanee Swanstrom of Stoneham; many beloved nieces and nephews; deceased family members include his siblings Lucy Faiella, Domenic Piscatelli, Mary Gagne, Ann Giunta and Thomas Piscatelli and beloved nieces Vera Pozzi-Euefueno, Donna Viola and Charlotte Collins.

Private family visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 21. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Michael Parish, 196 Main Street, No. Andover at 11:30 AM. Please meet directly at the church. Note to wear face coverings and social distancing measures will be in place.
