Michael Gopoian, 91, of Stratham and Hampton, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2023, in Hampton, New Hampshire.
Michael was born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Markar and Nartouhie (Tatian) Gopoian on April 6, 1931. He attended Somerville High School where he played football and met his future wife, Phyllis.
He married Louise Phyllis DiPietro on November 28, 1950 in Somerville, Massachusetts. The couple had been married for 72 years. Michael graduated from Northeastern University where he earned a degree in engineering. He worked as a mechanical engineer for BCD Metals, in Everett, Massachusetts and Elano East Corporation in Rowley, Massachusetts where he designed and manufactured aircraft engine components for General Electric until his retirement in 1987. Michael enjoyed his family, building and designing and traveling the world with his wife Phyllis.
Michael is preceded in death by his beloved wife Phyllis, his son Michael, his brothers John and Jacob and his sister Venus. He is survived by his three daughters Geraldine Desjardins, Susan Anthony, Lauretta Catalano and son-in-law Patrick Catalano. His six grandchildren Lindsay Pare, Cassandra Theodoris, Michael Anthony, Meghan Anthony, Matthew Catalano and Katherine Catalano and great grandchild Luca Theodoris.
