Melissa Caruso Montefusco

HAVERHILL - Melissa Caruso Montefusco, a devoted daughter, loving wife, and caring mother, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024, at her home in Haverhill, MA. She was born on June 14, 1968, to her parents, the late Elvelena Caruso and Frank Caruso.

Family was of paramount importance to Melissa, as she dedicated herself to lovingly caring for her elderly father. She found immense joy in being a mother to her children, Ashley and Micael, cherishing every moment spent with them.

Melissa was a selfless individual, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her defining personality traits were her unwavering compassion, empathy, and generosity. She placed the well-being and happiness of others above her own, leaving a lasting impact on all whose lives she touched.

In her leisure time, she enjoyed sitting out in the sun with her husband, Fausto, especially when it came to bossing him around to do yard work how SHE wanted it to be done. She was an admirable woman, and it was her commitment to her cherished family that brought her the greatest fulfillment in life, spending time watching all kinds of movies and shows with her beloved husband and children, and sitting on the porch listening to the rain.

She was very hard-working and loved her job, and found great fulfillment in the relationships she made with her coworkers, who were more like friends to her.

Melissa is survived by her beloved husband, Fausto, who shared in her journey and stood by her side. The void left by her passing will be deeply felt by her children, as well as her father and numerous extended family members and friends.

Although Melissa’s presence will be greatly missed, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of selflessness and love will continue to inspire and guide us all.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Services will begin Friday morning in the funeral home at 9:30 AM.
