Marie-Olive ‘Jackie’ (Roger) LeBlanc

HAVERHILL - Marie-Olive Jaqueline ‘Jackie’ (Roger) LeBlanc peacefully passed away at the age of 96 on May 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Jackie was born to J.G. Alexandre Roger and Louisa (Descoteaux) Roger on December 21, 1927, in Haverhill, Massachusetts. She was the eldest remaining member of her two siblings, Eugene Roger and Yvonne Cote.

Jackie grew up in Haverhill, graduated from Haverhill High School, and went on to graduate from Lawrence Academy of Beauty Culture. She married James (Jimmy) Louis LeBlanc and they went on to raise four children in Bradford. Summers were spent at Hampton Beach, NH where they ran their family landmark motel from 1964 to 1997 accommodating vacationers from Canada and across the country. Jackie was widowed in 1998 and subsequently moved to her family home until her passing.

Those close to Jackie knew she was the anchor matriarch of the Family. She was a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Parish community. She lived a fulfilling life, inspiring all who knew her, and maintained a positive outlook grounded by her deep religious faith.

She was a botanical enthusiast and avid Red Sox fan. She also enjoyed time spent in her senior bowling league where she excelled until the age of 91. She passed time playing card games and solving crossword puzzles. She loved visits from grandkids, phone calls from friends and family, and she never missed sending a birthday card.

Jackie was predeceased by her son, Geoffrey, who was married to Marla (Marini) LeBlanc. She is survived by daughter Elizabeth Cote and her husband Glenn Cote of Salisbury, MA, son Stephen LeBlanc and wife Gina (Beatrice) LeBlanc of Haverhill, MA, and son Kenneth LeBlanc and his wife Danielle (Colby) LeBlanc of Hampton, NH. She also leaves behind her nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 25, in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 S. Main Street, Haverhill at 11:30 AM. Please meet directly at the church.
