Lynn (Cruickshank) Katsaros

It is with heavy hearts that we must share the passing of our mother, Lynn (nee Cruickshank) Katsaros of Haverhill, MA. Lynn departed on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the age of 68 with care and comfort provided by Cedar View Healthcare Center in Methuen, MA. Mom was surrounded by her immediate loved ones, concluding a short but courageous battle. 

Lynn is survived by her four children: Nicole Kuzmitski and her husband Todd of Haverhill, MA;  Kimberly Campelli and her husband Matt of Lowell, MA; George Katsaros of Beverly, MA; and Nicholas Katsaros of Lowell, MA. Lynn cherished family and is survived by her two sisters, Mary Deblois and her husband Gary of Machiasport, ME;  and Bonnie Cruickshank-Delande and her husband Michael of Georgetown, MA. She leaves behind two beloved grandsons and many nieces and nephews whom she cared for deeply. She also leaves behind her close friend and companion, Jerry Harrison of Amesbury MA.

She was preceded by her parents, William and Jean (nee Cygan) Cruickshank  and sister Patti and brother Bill.

Lynn's early life saw her completing studies from Danvers High School in 1973 where she was well known for her social nature and athletic expertise. She continued her academic endeavors at Northern Essex Community College where she earned her associate's degree in psychology. While she held various professional titles over the course of her career, collections and accounting were  her specialty with her fondest work experience undoubtedly being her tenure at the IRS.

Lynn was a long time member of the Haverhill Elks Lodge No. 165 where she was regularly found socializing, most notably taking pride in her Saturday afternoon darts league. She was a woman of many hobbies, including baking, gardening, golfing, motorcycles, and reading. As we grieve this loss, it is of utmost importance to remember that what brought Lynn the most joy in life was being surrounded by those she loved, who made her smile and laugh.

Gathering to celebrate Lynn's life will take place this summer, her favorite  time of year, allowing time for family and friends to reminisce and pay their respects. More information about the event will be provided at a later date on this site. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to a charity of your choice in Lynn’s honor.
