Linda McCarthy

HAVERHILL - Linda McCarthy, 71, of Haverhill, passed away after her brief battle with cancer on Thursday, January 25, in her daughter’s home, surrounded by loved ones as she wished. 

Linda was a graduate of Saint Columbkille School (Brighton) class of ‘69, and soon began to embrace her wandering spirit thereafter, starting by backpacking Europe, and then residing everywhere from the North Shore, to California, Las Vegas (twice), to North Carolina, and eventually Haverhill. Her joyful spirit allowed her to easily make friends both near and far. 

Linda is survived, and missed dearly, by her loving twin daughters Jennifer (McCarthy) Stanley and son-in-law Jason Stanley of Newton, NH and Michelle McCarthy and fiance Shawn Blaisdell of Haverhill, MA, as well as her beloved grandchildren Ethan, Jacob, and Benjamin. She was the daughter of the late Gerald McCarthy and Ruth (Blinn) McCarthy of Brighton; sister to Patty (McCarthy) O'Connor, Carol (McCarthy) Scannell, Gerald McCarthy, Billy McCarthy, Joey McCarthy, Stephen McCarthy, Todd McCarthy, Kevin McCarthy, Sean McCarthy. She will also live forever in hearts of her many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
