Kathleen F. (Cotter) Leith

HAVERHILL - Kathleen F. (Cotter) Leith, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

She was born and raised in Haverhill, the daughter of John and Madeliene (Bullis) Cotter.

Kathleen was a talented Florist in the Merrimack Valley. She with her husband were co-owners of Leith’s Flower Shop and Garden Center in Haverhill, Massachusetts until 1988. Kathleen and her late husband Richard were well known for their flower and garden crafts throughout New England. She was the most caring and kindhearted person who always had a smile on her face.  She was devoted to her family and will forever live on in our hearts. Kathleen will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Kathleen is survived by her children Richard and wife Patricia of East Kingston, NH, and Jean (Leith) Sherburne and husband Dana of Haverhill, MA. She was the cherished grandmother to Melinda (Leith) Estabrook, Brian Sherburne, Tiffany (Leith) White and Michael Sherburne, and great grandmother to Penelope and Layla Sherburne.  She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, John and Madeliene Cotter, her husband of 66 years Richard David Leith Sr., and her three sisters, Jacqueline Pace, Shirley Inman, and Carol Pierce.
