Judith A. Burke

Judith A. Burke, 87, of Groveland, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 1, 1938, Judith was the daughter of the late Albert Canney and Florence (Spurr) Canney. She was a 1955 graduate of Haverhill High School. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Milton Burke Jr., who passed in 2007.

Judith’s surviving family members include her devoted sister Kathleen (Canney) Barber and husband Robert of Jamestown, NY; cherished companion Robert Howes of Groveland; loving children Lindsey Burke of Madison, NH, Dawn (Burke) Martin and partner David Ashbrook of Englewood, FL, Terry (Burke) Corthell and husband Fred Corthell of Englewood, FL, Maureen (Burke) Bergeron and husband James of Merrimac, James Burke, Sr. and wife Nancy of Haverhill and Michael Burke and wife Leslie of Plaistow, NH; also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom brought her immense joy.

Judith will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, and the kindness she shared with all who knew her. She cherished playing cards with her close friends, enjoyed relaxing on the boardwalk in Newburyport or at the park in Gloucester, and treasured her Friday afternoon lunches at Park Lunch with her card friends and Saturday lunches with Bob. She had many special traditions and activities she shared individually with each of her children and grandchildren, creating unique and lasting memories with all of them.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Services on Thursday in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Walnut Cemetery, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by the link here.
