Joseph T. Downey

METHUEN - Joseph Downey, 69, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA after a long and hard fought battle with cancer.

Joseph was born on March 3, 1954, to Marianne Herkinham in Troy, NY. Joseph moved to Massachusetts with his father where he would grow into an adult and eventually started his own handyman business specializing in small jobs for houses, condos and apartment as well as property management . 

Joseph was a avid boater and loved being on the water. He also was a life long Boston Bruins fan. Joseph touched many people's lives and helped countless people. The world is a darker place with out him. 

Joseph went one to have 6 children in total, Michael Downey, Johnathan Downey, Mathew Downey, Michael Downey, Patrick Downey and Andrew Downey, and help raise many more.
