John N. Tammaro

HAVERHILL - John N. Tammaro, age 86, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2024.

John was born November 18, 1937, to John Tammaro and Anna (Marzullo). John was born and raised in Everett, MA where he grew up with the love of his life, Jean. They were high school sweethearts and married for 64 years. John graduated from Boston College and worked for General Electric for 33 years. Upon retirement, John and Jean enjoyed many winters in Naples, FL.

John was a devoted and loving husband, father, and friend. John left behind his loving wife, Jean; five children, Karen Tammaro, Susan Fowler (Alan), Lisa Valeriani (Frank), Linda Farnham (James) and John Tammaro. He was a proud gramps to ten grandchildren, Stephen Tammaro, Kaileigh McDonough (Fowler), Rachel Jenkins (Farnham), Hannah Farnham, Tommy Valeriani, Cole Farnham, Nicole Valeriani, Madison Fowler, John Farnham, and Nicholas Fowler and four great-grandchildren, Teddy, Kyro, Kaia, and Charlotte. Family was the absolute joy of his life. John had many loving sisters and brothers in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for John on Saturday, March 16, in St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, 8 Atkinson Depot Road, Plaistow, NH at 11:00 AM. Please meet directly at the church. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John’s name to St. Luke Food Pantry.
