GROVELAND - James “Jim” Boulay, Sr., of Groveland, formerly of Lynn, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 14, 2022, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Husband of Catherine Boulay whom he shared 46 years of marriage and son of the late Leopold and Margaret Boulay of Lynn, MA and brother to the late Evelyn Boulay.
Jim attended Lynn schools and lived most of his life in the City of Lynn. Jim was a Mechanic by trade and was the go-to for all car troubles.
Jim loved spending time camping, camping was his home away from home and he spent every weekend there. He loved riding his Harley with his brothers, brother-in-law and sons but most of all he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Jim loved anything that was racing related, whether it was watching Nascar, racing his own car or driving to Daytona. Jim had a heart of gold, you could always depend on him, you could call him at 2 am and he would be there to help you out, drunk or sober. Jim was always the go to, even if he wasn’t the man for the job, he always figured it out.
Jim is survived by his wife Catherine of Groveland, MA; his son James Boulay, Jr. and his wife Amy and their son Alex of Hudson, NH; his daughter Laura Boulay her husband Kenny Dyer and their children Anthony Boulay and his long-term girlfriend Alyssa, Brenda, Kendal and Kyle they their fur baby Joelle of Beverly, MA; his son Nicholas Boulay his wife Nina and their daughters Julia and Desirae and fur baby Peanut of Groveland, MA; Timothy Boulay and his fur baby Benny of Marblehead, MA; his brothers Al and Don and their spouses and children, his sisters Luanne, Donna, Diane, Debbie, Karen and their spouses and children; and many other nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, and beloved friends.
Jim will be cremated, Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, July 9 at his home in Groveland from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
