Frederick C. Scheer, Sr.

HAVERHILL - Frederick (Fred) C. Scheer Sr., of Haverhill, MA passed away on July 26, 2023. Fred was born on November 4,1950 to the late Alfred and Julia (Walent) Scheer.  

Fred graduated from Newburyport High School in 1968.  He was employed as a machinist for many years and worked at Metro Swift Sprinkler Corp. in Peabody, MA. until he retired and then returned to work part time.

Fred had a love for nature, animals, and connecting with the great outdoors.  Fred generously supported causes that he cared about including the Haverhill public library and multiple wildlife foundations.  He had a passion for cars, car racing, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and antique firearms.

Fred loved his children and grandchildren. Fred is survived by his two sons, Frederick Jr. and Robert, grandchildren Ariana, Lillian, and Kai, his brother Bill and sister Kathy, as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends.  Fred was a kind, thoughtful man and will be greatly missed by all.
