Eric A. Duvall

GROVELAND - Eric Duvall, 71, of Groveland, formerly from West Peabody, passed away comfortably on February 8th at High Pointe House in Haverhill, ma after a lengthy health battle.

Eric was born on January 26th 1952, in Peoria Illinois, son of the late Elbert and Erika Duvall.

Eric Grew up in West Peabody and was a proud graduate of Peabody Veterans School in 1970.

He earned an associate’s degree from the North East Institute of Boston as well as an associates in culinary arts.

Eric Married his high school sweetheart Irene Van Dyk in 1974. After moving to Groveland, Ma They went on to raise two children, Michael and Kimberly. They remained married for 49 years.

He had many careers in his lifetime and will always be remembered for his strong desire to provide for his family the best way that he could manage. At many points in his career he held two to three jobs at a time in order to ensure that his family had all the things that were necessary. He did everything from manufacturing to landscaping, retail to food service and tried to make at least a dozen other private ventures successful.

Later on in life he enjoyed spending time at his home in Tampa Florida near his Daughter and two grandchildren.

He was a simple man that enjoyed simple pleasures. He was always interested in cars and spent many a mini vacation to visit any and all car shows that he could find.

He was a caring and supportive father to Michael and Kimberly and enjoyed spending time with his Grandkids.

Eric is survived by his wife, Irene Duvall: his son, Michael and his wife Lorraine Duvall of West Newbury: his daughter Kimberly Hall of Florida: and four grandchildren: Aj Duvall, Russell Duvall, Cora Hall and Trace Hall.

He is also survived by his sister Carol Foster of Florida, his sister Linda Hanlon of West Virginia and his brother Gary Duvall of Florida.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
