Emily G. (McGrath) Doucette

HAVERHILL - Emily G. Doucette, 73, passed away on January 17, 2024 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen after a brief illness.

She was the wife of Edward A. Doucette with whom she shared 24 years of marriage. Born in Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Deborah (Sullivan) McGrath. Emily attended schools in Brighton and graduated from Boston Girls Trade and was an independent beauty consultant. She has been a resident of Haverhill for the past 24 years. Emily enjoyed choir, church, and traveling.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Dayanara Deborah (Lozano) Salazar of San Antonio, TX, two sisters, Cathy Harper of Quincy and Maureen Cabradillo of Wareham, stepchildren, Justin Doucette and his wife Jill of Bedford, NH, Joleen Dooley and her husband Jamie of Bedford, NH, Melissa Doucette of Haverhill, five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Emily was predeceased by sisters Deborah King and Anne Doucette, and brothers,William McGrath and Joseph McGrath.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Services will begin at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Emily's memory to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at www.mda.org/ways-to-give
