HAVERHILL – Edward F. Stokham, 95, longtime Haverhill resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.
Edward was born on April 26, 1926, son of Ernest and Alice (Mann) Stokham. He was raised in Lowell and graduate of Lowell High School. Edward is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. He served honorably in the Battles of Leyte Gulf, Tarawa and Okinawa. When he returned home, he attended Suffolk Law School and received his degree in Juris Doctorate. He spent his career with the Andover Companies for over 56 years until his retirement. Edward was a caring person and was a longtime member of Shriners International. He was a member of Haverhill Country Club and Andover Country Club. Edward was a proud man who loved his family and community. He will be greatly missed.
His surviving family members include his cherished wife Susan (Kostiew) Stokham; caring son Christopher Stokham; several nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings Ernest, Frank and Muriel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Services will follow with U.S. Marine Corps Honors beginning at 11:00 AM.
