Diana Bowering, 68, of Haverhill, MA died peacefully Friday, September 26, 2025, at Lawrence General Hospital, after a period of declining health.
Diana was born in Kinston, NC on June 2, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Vinton Bowering and the late Rev. Janet Bowering. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School and received a degree in theater from UMass Amherst. Diana had recently retired from the Unitarian Universalist Association after more than 40 years of service. She loved her work as an accountant and her colleagues were like a second family to her.
Diana cherished time with her family and friends. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her sense of humor, her ability to listen without judgement, and her generous spirit.
The family would like to extend their thanks to all of the medical professionals at Lawrence General and Massachusetts General Hospital who provided outstanding care.
In addition to countless dear friends, she is survived by her sister, Dawn Jordan, of Haverhill, MA her brother Alan Bowering and his wife Leslie, of Concord, ME, her niece, Laura and husband Matthew Morley of Sandown, NH, her great-nephew, William Morley, and her beloved cat, Woolly-Woolly.
At her request, there will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Universalist Unitarian Church of Haverhill, beginning at 1:00pm.
