David R. Rock

BYFIELD - We lost a great guy, husband, father and friend on September 23. David passed at home with family by his side.

David was born in Lawrence, MA on April 20, 1948 to Albert and Elisabeth (Costello) Rock.

David graduated from Newbury Elementary and then Newburyport High School with the Class of 1966. He worked for 40 years at the Massachusetts Highway Department. He made many friends and had many stories. He golfed in a state league for many years.

David and Paula met at Hampton Beach and had been together since. They would have celebrated their 56th anniversary this November. They raised their three children and one grandson at their Byfield home.

Along with his wife Paula, he leaves two children Shawn (Jessica) Rock, Erica (Jeff) Cutter. Grandchildren Zachary and Emma Cutter, Tiffany Rock, Jason Rock, Gracie Sullivan and Kaleb Glidden. Great-grandchildren Kaden and Kailey Orben, Bailey Mae Rock, Luna and Ellie Sullivan all of New Hampshire. Sister and brother in-law Barbara and Larry Doyle.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Services will begin Friday in the funeral home at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in S. Byfield Cemetery, Georgetown.
