David Putnam McGlone, 82, passed away at home on Thursday, May 1, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the devoted husband to his soulmate, Patricia, for 59 years of a loving marriage.
David had an extensive career in sales, including working for Procter & Gamble for many of those years. His honesty, fairness, warm personality and spontaneous laugh enabled him to befriend his clients and create lasting relationships.
David treasured traveling. He and Pat explored the continental United States, Hawaii and the Caribbean. They enjoyed much laughter while hiking in the White Mountains, especially Mt. Washington. He also liked bicycling, cross-country skiing and boating on Lake Winnipesaukee. When asked the secret to a long marriage, he always said love, respect and laughter.
He was an avid golfer, enjoying playing on the course, volunteering as a Golf Marshal and watching it on television. David was dedicated to meeting his golf buddies every week on the links or at Heavenly Donuts.
He is survived by his wife Patricia (Shay) McGlone; brother Robert McGlone and his wife Alice; sister Joyce Dolaher and her husband Joe; also many nieces, nephews and friends.
At the request of the family services will be held privately, laid to rest in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
