Claire M. (Foss) Atwater

WAKEFIELD - Claire M. Atwater (Foss) of Wakefield, MA, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at the age of 81.

Claire was a lifelong member of the Wakefield community, born to Benjamin and Dorothy Foss on December 28, 1941. After graduating from Wakefield Memorial High School in 1960, Claire married David E. Atwater, also of Wakefield. The two spent many wonderful years together raising their family. Claire enjoyed traveling the world and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, David, her two sons, David and Eric, her grandchildren, Kyrsten and Nicholas, her great-granddaughter, Nora, and many extended family members. Claire did not want any services so the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favorite charity in Claire’s name.
