Carole G. Azzarito

Carole G. Azzarito, 88, lifelong Haverhill resident, passed away peacefully July 14, 2025, at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born in Exeter, NH on May 24, 1937, daughter of the late Angelo and Adrianne (St. Laurent) Cusano and was a graduate of Haverhill High School and Lowell State Teachers College. She proudly taught school in the Haverhill School System for 35+ years at both Bartlett and Consentino schools.

She met and fell in love with Frank J. Azzarito, her beloved husband. They married in 1960 and raised their three daughters in Haverhill.

Carole was a member of the former St. Rita’s parish and served in the church’s sodality society, participating and coordinating church fundraising events such as the annual Christmas bazaar. After the closure of St. Rita’s, Carole was a faithful parishioner of the All Saints Parish. She was active in recreational bowling leagues, cheering on her daughters at their sporting events, and travelling to various countries with Frank after she retired.

One of Carole’s passions was playing cards, especially 45s. She would play with the regulars at the Bradford Yacht club at least twice a week as well as at the Senior Citizens Center.

She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed. Carole is survived her brother Ralph D. Cusano, Haverhill; daughters Andrea M. Azzarito, spouse Lise-lotte Kammeyer Nichols of York, ME, Christina A. Azzarito and spouse Amy R. Lowell of Sanford, ME; Linda F. Azzarito, Dawn Belliveau; adoring granddaughter Lucia Belliveau-Azzarito, of York, ME; brother in-law Giuseppe Azzarito; sister in-law Geraldine Azzarito, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cherished friends.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, July 20, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 21, in All Saints Parish, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
