On February 24, 2026, Cam Tien unexpectedly passed away surrounded by family.
Cam was born on June 2, 1939, in Saigon, Vietnam. In the late 1970s, he made the courageous decision to uproot his life in search of better opportunities in the United States. Alongside his wife Hue and his first son Kieu Tien, who sadly passed away in 2009, Cam braved treacherous seas and spent a year on a refugee island before eventually arriving in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He later settled in Haverhill, where he spent the latter part of his life with family.
A hardworking and devoted man, Cam took on various jobs to ensure his growing family was well provided for. In time, he became a United States citizen, a testament to his perseverance and the promise of the American Dream.
Cam lived a simple and meaningful life, cherishing time with his regular Dunkin’ crew and finding his greatest joy in watching his children achieve their goals and his grandchildren grow.
Cam is survived by his wife, Hue; his sons Lam, Long, Kiet; and his daughter Lan; and his grandchildren, Jay and Max.
Per Cam's wishes, no services are to be held. Arrangements made by Driscoll Funeral Home, Haverhill. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
