METHUEN - Barry L. Stamm, of Methuen and longtime resident of Lynn, passed away on October 6, 2023, after a courageous fight against a lengthy illness.
Born in Bellefonte, PA, on June 22, 1946, Barry joined the Marines after graduating from Lock Haven High School (PA), and upon his separation, used his GI Bill to obtain his college degrees, including a master’s from Suffolk University in Boston. He spent his career accountant and financial controller, Barry worked across multiple industries including engineering, trucking, and food & beverage distribution.
An avid golfer, Barry loved traveling across New England with his wife and son playing the game he loved. Family was the center of his life, and any chance he had to spend quality time with them on the course was one he took. He thrived in his retired role as Papa, dedicating himself to his grandchildren and spending all of his free time spoiling them with love.
Barry leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Bernadette Stamm (Lenihan), formerly of Lynn, his son Brendan and wife Kaitlin, and his grandsons Cieran and Declan, of Haverhill. He is predeceased by his parents Russell and Charlotte (Brown), brother Terry, and sister Dixie, who passed away on September 3, 2023.
Visitation will be held on Thursday morning, October 12, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Services will be graveside with U.S. Marine Corps Honors in Elmwood Cemetery, Salem Street, Haverhill. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
