Barbara A. Kennedy

GROVELAND – Barbara A. Kennedy, 77, resident of Groveland and formerly of Lynn, MA, died peacefully at home after a lengthy illness on May 11, 2023.

Barbara was the loving daughter of the late Alfred and Agnes Olson and raised in Chelsea, MA. She moved to Lynn with her husband, Bill where they raised their family, eventually moving to Groveland to enjoy their golden years together.

Barbara was a long time employee at Northeastern University in Boston. She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking long rides with her husband.  Barbara also enjoyed memorable trips including Las Vegas, California, Hawaii and Florida.

Surviving family members include her beloved children Brian and his wife Melissa of Pembroke, MA, Shawn and his wife Kristina of Georgetown, and Heath of Groveland; cherished grandchildren Justin, Joshua, Chase, Jacob, Mason and Allie.  She was predeceased by her son Kevin.  She also leaves behind her brothers Dick Olson, Ernie Olson, John Olson and Jimmy Olson and their families. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, in St. Mary Church, 94 Andover Street, Georgetown at 1:00 PM. Please meet directly at the church. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown.
