Barbara A. Nolan, 63, lifelong resident of Haverhill, MA passed away the afternoon of October 18, 2025, at the High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA after a brief but courageous battle with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.
She was the beloved partner of Richard D. DeMatteo. She was the beloved daughter of the late John F. and Barbara Nolan; sister to Theresa Susen (Peter), Patrick (Cheryl), John (Julie) and Kevin (Kristen). Devoted aunt to Matthew, Andrew and Jeffrey Susen; Sean, Lauren and Joshua Nolan; John Herget-Nolan; Addison Nolan; Taryn Adams. Sister-in-law to Maryann (Rich) Adams.
Born and raised in Bradford, she attended Sacred Heart, Peabody and Hunking Schools; she was a 1980 graduate of Haverhill High School.
Following high school, she went on to work at Western Electric, then FTP Software and through many transitions finally being Rocket Software until her recent illness began in July.
She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews with yearly trips to Canobie Lake Park. She loved the beach and mountains. She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods to play Bingo and the Slots. Family gatherings were her favorite. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word searches and reading books.
The family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Brigham and Woman’s Hospital and Tufts Medicine at Home.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all that knew her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Catholic Funeral Rites will be offered at 3:00 PM.
