Arthur Joseph LaCharite

DEDHAM - We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Arthur J. LaCharite of Dedham, MA, on November 29, 2023, in Needham, Massachusetts. He is survived by his loving wife and companion of 55 years, Cynthia (Ruel), his children Melissa (Bruce) and Arthur J. LaCharite, II, both of (Dedham, MA) and Andrea (Jason) of Peabody, MA. Arthur was the proud grandfather, known as “Beeka” to his grandchildren, Ash LaCharite of Dedham, MA, and Jozsef and Julia Gal of Peabody, MA. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and M.R. Rita (Audy) LaCharite, and by his siblings Donald Leo LaCharite, Sr. and Paul LaCharite.

Arthur was the consummate good guy, always ready to help, lend a hand or just listen. He was the rock in his marriage to his wife Cindy for countless years. His word was his bond, and he was loved and respected by all who knew him for his thoughtful opinions. Arthur’s family was most important to him, and nothing made him happier than cruising with Cindy and the family, camping trips with his children when they were young, setting up elaborate mini-Christmas villages during the holidays, fun trips to Canobie Lake Amusement Park, and being surrounded by his grandchildren, who made his days happy,  bright and memorial. One of his fondest memories was a celebration of his birthdays with his favorite treats combined into a special birthday cake topped with Cheetos.   

Born in 1953 Arthur was a proud man and never forgot his roots in Lawrence, MA. There was nothing he could not fix or get to start up. Showing up at your door empty handed was not in his repertoire. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends every moment of every day.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 6, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Services with Catholic Funeral Rites will be offered at 12:00 PM. Expressions of sympathy  may be made in Arthur's memory to The Salvation Army.
