Ann Giampa (Parham), age 81, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
Born on May 8, 1943, in Birmingham, Alabama, Ann was the daughter of William Parham (USN Ret.) and Jane Phillips Parham. She grew up alongside her brother Bill and sister Susan and carried the values and warmth of her Southern roots throughout her life. Ann’s life was enriched by those she held dear and her presence brought joy and comfort to those around her. She is lovingly remembered by her son Michael Giampa and his wife Patti (Carey) Giampa; her daughter Susan Giampa; and her cherished grandsons Andrew Giampa and Joseph Giampa. She also leaves behind her sister Susan Hallen; her ex-husband Anthony Giampa; and her partner Roger Barile.
Ann dedicated many years of service to the Newburyport District Courthouse, where she worked with diligence and professionalism until her retirement. Her professionalism and commitment left a lasting impression on colleagues and all who interacted with her during her years of service.
Ann found joy in many pursuits outside of work whether it be skiing, golf or yoga. A passionate cook, Ann delighted in preparing meals that brought people together -- especially family gatherings which she held so dear. Her love for travel took her to many places near and far. Whether exploring new destinations or returning to favorite spots, she found joy in nature and discovering the world. Most of all, she cherished time spent by the lake or ocean—places that brought her peace and reflection throughout her life.
In keeping with her wishes and lifelong bond with the water, Ann will be cremated and her ashes lovingly scattered at sea—a final tribute to the element she held so dear. May her memory bring peace to those who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
