Angel Manzano Obituary

HAVERHILL - We are gathered here today with hearts full of sorrow to lay Angel David Manzano better known to the family as Chapulin to rest. Born in Jayuya Puerto Rico on February 8, 1975. Beloved father of Ariana, Angel, Juan Carlos. First born to Esther Rodriguez, eldest brother of 12 and an uncle to too many nieces and nephews to count. Chapulin would be one person you could always rely on answering any phone call and doing all he could to help when you were in need. One fact some didn’t know was that Chapulin was a great artist that could work with any medium. His love of art was only trump by the love for his children. Everything he did was for them as that is what he cherished the most on this earth. He was always a protector when it came to his family especially the women. One thing he always was known for was his love for the Red Sox’s and his Patriots. When it came to him We’ve heard stories like….

Nelly: When we moved to puerto rico and i started school over there him and chavito use to pick me up and put me in between them protecting me. we skip school and when we started walking toward our abuelo house it started to rain we got wet from the rain but it was one of the best memories I have  of my big brother who was a protector. They would take me all over the pueblo, to our tio’s  pizzeria, and to their highschool .Nelly was only around 14 at this time.

Cristal: Chapulin watched her grow up from a little baby to the  young woman she’s become. They had a special bond. One funny thing he would do is always bite her cheeks when he’d see her.
Cita: One of my most cherished memories of you was when you were helping to move us into our new apartment and you were coming out of the truck carrying something with another friend of ours. I was watching through the window and I saw you take a step back on the ramp and you missed it, fell off and rolled under the truck. You stayed under for a few minutes and I sent Omi to go help you and when he got to you , you jumped up and said “wow that was fun.” I had asked if you were good and you said “of course I am, it didn’t even hurt.” You were always a tough guy. There so many more memories we have of you and they will forever stay with us.

All in all we celebrate the life of a brother, father, uncle, and beloved son. Your presence and laughter will forever be missed. It was truly an honor to know him, and those lucky to know him will carry his memory in their  hearts forever.
