GROVELAND - Ana Victoria Almonte, lovingly known as “Any” or “Gorda,” passed away peacefully on November 1, 2024, at home, surrounded by family. Born on February 10, 1950, in the Dominican Republic, Ana was a woman of unshakeable spirit, fierce love, and endless joy. Her life was filled with laughter, resilience, and a contagious enthusiasm for everything she cherished, especially baseball and her beloved Boston Red Sox.
Ana was a second mother to Pedriant Peña, whom she helped raise with boundless love alongside Lupe Peña. She extended this warmth and nurturing to his wife, Meggan, and their two children, whom she cherished as her own grandchildren. Ana was also a beloved aunt to all her nieces and nephews, who remember her fierce love, strength, and generous heart. She left an indelible mark on everyone she embraced as family.
Ana lived a life full of love, joy, and determination. She was a gift to all who knew her, and though she is no longer with us, her spirit will remain forever in our hearts.
