HAVERHILL: Yolanda Alvarez, 61, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2020 at The Brentwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Danvers, MA.
Born in Caralina, Puerto Rico on January 9, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Ismael Alvarez and Maria Escalera.
Yolanda pursued a career in healthcare, and earned her certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked several years as a CNA at various assisted living and nursing homes to include Stone Hill at Andover.
Yolanda is survived by her children, Kassy Rodriguez of Haverhill, and Thomas Alvarez of Chicago, IL; siblings, Nicholas, Margarita, Aida, Sonia, Wilfredo, Mayra, Soralla and Mireya. She was the sister of the late Wanda Alvarez.
