HAVERHILL- William Anthony Melchionda (also known as Billy, Lil Billy and Bill-Bill by family and friends alike), most recently residing in Haverhill passed away suddenly on July 23, 2012, at the young age of 19. Billy was born on September 4th, 1992, in Methuen. He attended Haverhill schools during his early years, making life-long friends along the way, participating in multiple intramural sports and moving on to develop a passion for boxing. Billy participated in the Haverhill Boxing Club program and competed in boxing matches at various tournaments throughout Massachusetts. He later attended Plaistow and Methuen schools. It was during these years that he developed his love for barbering and became known for his skills and talents as the go-to for lineups, shape-ups, fades and blowouts. Lil Billy was loved by his family and all who knew him for his big heart, beautiful smile, contagious laugh and silly sense of humor. His unwavering loyalty, endless generosity, willingness to share advice, and lend a helping hand to friends will leave a hole in the hearts and lives of many. There was not a person that met Lil Billy, that didn't love him. Billy is survived by his loving parents Jennifer Bodenrader of Plaistow, NH and William Melchionda of West Bridgewater, MA and his beloved dog Uma. Billy's other family members include, his brothers Madden, Mason and step-mother Laurie Melchionda. Grandparents, Patricia Melchionda, Charmian Bodenrader and A.J. Bodenrader; Aunt Julie Grandmaison, Uncle Chuck and Cousins Jacob, Jalyn and Cailey; Uncle James Bodenrader, Aunt Manda and Cousins Marissa, Emily and James; Uncle Skip Melchionda, Aunt Honey and Cousins Tony Ellen, Chris, Jason and Courtney; Aunt Carlene Reardon, Uncle Bill and Cousins Robert, Matthew and Adriana; Aunt Jennifer Silvestro and Cousins Abbey and Henry; extended family from Maine, Annette, Sarah and Paul Holmes, Claire Berube and many other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
