Walter Perly Fossett, aka Wally Gator, born on January 3, 1959, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026 at the age of 67.

He was born in Portland, Maine to the late William T. Fossett and Nina Grant. He was a jack of all trades, working at Towle Masonry in Freedom, ME, later working for MPI Labels in Danielson, CT. He was a member of the Thompson Rod & Gun Club in Thomson, CT.

Wally enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He always enjoyed being surrounded by his close family and friends. “Basket Ball!”

He leaves behind his three beautiful daughters whom he loved with all his heart; Misty Henries of Moosup, CT, Nicole Meattey of New Hampshire, and Jeanna Sands of Killingly, CT. He is also survived by his sister, Bonnie Jones of Plymouth, MA, and Ronald Fossett, his brother, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

Wally had love for life and lived every day to the fullest. “Imaginary That!”
