Obituary

HAVERHILL - Wallace Arthur Langlois, Jr., 65, longtime resident of the Haverhill area and New Hampshire, and the last several years of New York, on the evening of July 3, 2019, shortly after 11:00 PM, Wally passed away from complications with his Multiple Sclerosis. He is now free of all the pain and suffering that he has survived for the last almost three decades.

He was born on September 27, 1953 to Wallace Arthur, Sr. and Frances C. (Whalen) Langlois and was raised and attended schools in Haverhill. Wally became a machinist and worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, as well as at DG O'Brien in Seabrook, NH. He married Karen Kozacka, and had three daughters, Jenny, Rachel, and Sarah. Wally and Karen moved to Barrington, NH, where they raised their family. He loved spending time and traveling with his family. Later on in his life, he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Wally continued to do the things he loved with his family and friends, despite his diagnosis, vacations with family to the White Mountains, trips to the yearly state fairs, singing in the church choir at the Chapel of the Nativity. For the last four years, Wally resided at Highfield Gardens Nursing Care Center, in Great Neck, NY, to be closer to his daughter, who was assisting him in having a higher quality of care for his Multiple Sclerosis symptoms. He cared very much about the staff who worked with him, as well as his good friend, Dominic Esterio, who always stood by him. He frequently attended Catholic Mass, sang at musical events, and was an active member on the resident council to advocate for residents' rights and needs. Wally loved being a grandfather to his three grandsons, and he talked about them often. He was a lover of life, and a caring and loving father. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Wally is survived by three daughters, Jenny Lee, Rachel Langlois, and Sarah Green; three grandsons, Konner, Matthew and John; son in-laws, David Lee and Jacob Green; brothers, Paul Langlois and Brian Langlois; sister in-law, Paula Langlois; and nephew Christopher Langlois.
