OBITUARY

HAVERHILL: Vivian Thelma Randall was born of Hungarian immigrants, Andras and Emma Mader, the youngest of eight children. She spent her childhood in Merrimacport, MA, graduating from Merrimac High School in 1948. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, because of the testimony of her brother Jim, and loved testifying of Jesus and her hope of heaven with others. Her life verse was: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3: 5-6.
Vivian worked at the former Western Electric before she married the late E. Chester Randall, whom she met at First Baptist Church where they served and worshiped. Vivian and Chester raised four children. Her family includes two daughters: Linda Malbon and her husband, Luke, of Boxford, MA; Carol Sanborn and husband, Steven, of Haverhill; and two sons: James Randall and wife, Amy, of Rochester, VT; Philip Randall and wife, Darcy, of Sandown, NH. She has 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In spite of the tender care of her children and the staff of Penacook Place, she became ill and passed away into the glory of heaven, where she would receive restoration of spirit and body, and she would be reunited with those who had gone before her.
This is the end of this phase of her life. Vivian can say with assurance, echoing the words of Paul the Apostle from 2 Timothy 4:7-8, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, with the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing."
In deference to the current health concerns, arrangements by Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill will be private. A family graveside service will be celebrated at a later date at Hillside Cemetery, Haverhill, MA. Online condolence may be sent to www.dcsfuneralhome.com
