HAVERHILL: Virginia M. (Klotzle) Prescott, 100, passed away on January 1, 2021 at Maplewood Center in Amesbury.

Born on August 21, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Samuel H. and Gladys M. (Stone) Klotzle.

After graduating from Haverhill High School she continued her education at, and graduated with honors from, Colby Junior College. Virginia pursued her passion for music by teaching both piano and voice at the New England Conservatory of Music for twenty years, as well as, Bradford College. Wishing to continue her work she taught students at her home. Virginia attended the Universalist Unitarian Church. She was a longtime fan of the Boston Red Sox, and loved having cats as her companion.

Virginia is survived by her nephew H. Stuart Klotzle and his wife Jane of The Villages, FL. She was predeceased by her brothers, Rev. Dana Klotzle and Harold Klotzle.

Arrangements under the direction of Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill will be private with interment at the family lot at Linwood Cemetery.
