Victor 'Big
Vic' Mitchell Slaiciunas
July 11, 1949 – March 30, 2026
Victor 'Big Vic' Mitchell Slaiciunas, passed away peacefully at Serenity Hospice on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the age of 76 after a long and hard-fought battle with Parkinson's.
Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, to his late parents, Victor and Anne Slaiciunas. Vic's love for sports began early with high school football and baseball. A proud New England native, he was a devoted Red Sox and Patriots fan throughout his life. After high school, he went on to graduate from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in finance, which led him to move to New York to pursue what became a 30+ year career in finance. It was there that he met and fell in love with his wife, Patricia McGinley.
He was predeceased by his brother, Daniel Slaiciunas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia Slaiciunas; his son, Christopher and daughter-in-law Angel; his son, Matthew and daughter-in-law Diana; his son, Daniel; and his daughter, Victoria (his "pumpkin"). He was the proud and loving grandfather of Bryson, who was truly the light of his life. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Cheryl Slaiciunas, along with many nieces and nephews.
Victor—known as Vic, Big Vic, Dad, and Uncle Vic—was a loyal and dedicated husband, father, and friend who loved his family and friends deeply. He brought warmth and humor wherever he went. If you knew Vic, you knew his love for golf and skiing and his joy in passing that passion on to his children. He cherished vacationing and traveling with family and friends and looked forward to summertime, when he could relax by the pool listening to his favorite, Jimmy Buffett.
He also had a deep love for his chocolate labs, Callie and Brady, who were cherished members of the family.
Services were held in New Jersey. Victor wished to be laid to rest in the Lithuanian Cemetery, Montvale Street, Haverhill. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
