FT. MYERS, FL: Twanda K. (Kahigian) (Garabedian) McNeil, 85, formerly of Haverhill, died July 27, 2010 at Page Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Haverhill on December 3, 1924, Mrs. McNeil was the daughter of the late Zakar and Hiagunoosh (Tomasian) Kahigian.

Mrs. McNeil attended school in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1942. She was employed as a layout operator at the former Western Electric for 27 years prior to her retirement. Twanda was formerly an active member of St. Gregory The Illuminator Armenian Church and its Women's Guild.

Her family includes her granddaughter Michele (Garabedian) Stork and her husband Bryan of Ft. Myers, FL; great granddaughter Taylor Stork; brother, John (Chuck) Kahigian of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Connie Kahigian of Haverhill, daughter-in-law Patty Sannella of Plaistow, NH, and several nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Richard M. McNeil, mother of the late Peter and Michael Garabedian, and sister of the late Sarkhas and Markhas Kahigian.

Friends are invited to the funeral Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill. Calling hours Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Interment at Hilldale Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Shady Rest Foundation, 2310 North Airport Road, Ft. Myers, FL 33907.
